Don't Let Go

I have a fear, that won’t go away.
I have a fear and its here to stay.

I am afraid of losing, my very best friend.
I am afraid on losing the one that I can depend.

I have lost so many friends in my past.
That I was really hoping this one would last.

Out of my life, I don’t want you to go.
So when you finish reading this, please don’t let go.

How close to my heart, you will always be.
I want you to know that you can count on me.

I am not going to run; I am not going to hide.
I will be right there when your hands are tied.

When life gets hard, and doesn’t treat you fair.
I want you to know, I will be right there.

I will be right beside you, no matter what life throws your way.
But don’t worry about tomorrow, let’s focus on today.

Sometimes you ask me, if I am fine.
Don’t always believe it, I might have been crying.

You ask what is wrong, and it’s nothing I say.
But keep asking questions, it might not be that way.

I might be afraid, to tell you what’s wrong.
Although, it might turn out better, if you knew all along.

I don’t think you know how close to me you really are.
So stay close to me, and don’t go off too far.

If its time you need, to just be alone.
You can always tell me, using e-mail or the phone.

Time I can give you, letting go I can’t do.
For losing another friend, is something I can’t go through.

So promise me, that you will stay.
My life would be so much better that way.

For now I shall go, in hopes you will see.
Just how much you truly mean to me.
