Contributions

Samanantha's purpose for The Sights Unseen Tour was to to raise money for children with cancer, raise awareness about the work done at St. Jude, and to give hope to kids in situations just like her own. Thanks to our corporate sponsors, the expenses for the tour were covered well in advance. This means that all surplus expense money and all donations received by samsride.org will be donated directly to St. Jude Hospital in Samantha's name.

All donations to samsride.org are collected through Samantha's home church, Chattanooga Valley Church of the Nazarene. All funds are deposited and held in an account at Capital Bank in Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia. This account is completely separate from the church's general accounts. Using Sam's church saves us the high costs and time consumption of forming a non-profit corporation, but still allows donors to receive a tax deductible donation*. When all donations have been collected, all the funds in the account will be donated to St. Jude Hospital. A full accounting of receivables and payables of the account can be obtained from Danny Flowers, president of Capital Bank, and acting treasurer of samsride.org.

Even though the ride is over, you can still contribute and there are several ways you can do this. The easiest way to donate to samsride.org is via PayPal. Simply click on the 'donate' button on the left side of any samsride.org web page and you can use your Visa, MasterCard, American Express or Discover card to make your contribution, even if you don't have a PayPal account.

Or, if you prefer, you can send a check or money order, made payable to CVN-Samsride.org, to the address listed below. Any amount is truly appreciated.

If you do not wish to use the Tribute page, please include account number 128404 with all correspondence and Samantha will get credit for the contribution. Using either the Tribute page or the account number will allow Samantha to track the total amount raised for St. Jude.

Please know that all of the volunteers and staff that are involved with this project are deeply dedicated to the cause. In addition to donating their valuable time, the pilots, organizers, and even Samantha and her family, have put their own money into the project to help make it a sucess.
